Resource guide
The following resource guide includes a list of diverse organizations and community groups that offer a help ranging from mental health support, crisis hotlines, food or housing insecurity, and job employment.
Mental Health Resources:
The Trevor Project: (866)-488-7386
The Trevor Project serves as a nonprofit national organization that provides\ crisis intervention and suicide prevention services. They mainly cater to the LGBTQ+ community, open to all ages but have a target age range of 13-24.

The National Runaway Safeline: 800-RUNAWAY (800-786-2929)
The National Runaway Safeline aids youth who have run away from home or homeless youth in general. The safeline assists by either providing counseling, where to find shelter, transportation, and helping take the steps to transition back to home life.

The LGBT National Youth Talkline: (800)-246-7743
This national youth talkline provides support and counseling through either telephone, online private one-on-one chat and email peer support. This organization also helps with finding resources like in person counselors across many cities in the US.

The U.S. National Domestic Violence Hotline: (800)-799-7233 (English & Spanish)
This confidential and free of charge hotline provides immediate support to victims looking for safety and help. On the hotlines are trained counselors who can help victims look for a new, safe environment as well as find local providers in their area. They have a call center, a texting center and a live chat center with advocates working around the clock.

The 988 Lifeline
The988 Lifeline offers counselors on call 24/7 to listen and support specifically the Hispanic/Latine community or Spanish speakers. Along with free counseling, they provide ways to support the local community and show resources to be more involved in supporting one’s local Hispanic/Latine community.

Food Security
Bread of Life
Non-profit organization that hosts food pantries weekly as well as operating food security programs in Boston.

Feeding America
Non-profit that holds multiple food drives, assists with SNAP programs and find meal programs. Over 200 branches across the country and has a locator for food drives.

Too Good to Go
App that shows stores that give out their extra food at the end of their store hours so it does not go to waste. They sell the food for cheaper prices and in good portions.

Clothing drives:
Salvation Army
Organization that offers ways to find clothing drives, food pantries and homeless shelters. Has a locator with locations across the US.

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA)
Non-profit that allows education opportunities, scholarships, employment opportunities and more for Latino students as well as undocumented citizens.
