WELCOME TO THE COLIBRí LAB !

Who we are

The Colibri Lab is led by Dr. Roberto Rentería, based in the Department of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. We conduct research to promote the well-being of LGBTQ+ people of color, with a focus on Latiné LGBTQ+ communities. We draw from intersectional and social justice frameworks and utilize diverse methods to conduct research and produce knowledge that will inform efforts to achieve health equity and justice.

Our mission

1.Explore how multilevel intersectional experiences influence the onset, severity, and trajectory of health outcomes among marginalized communities, with a focus on Latiné LGBTQ+ people.

2.Engage in community-based collaborations to co-create activities and interventions that promote well-being and health equity among marginalized communities.
